Privacy Policy for YouTube Smart AI Uploader
Last updated: 2025-08-23
This Privacy Policy describes how the YouTube Smart AI Uploader app (“the App”) handles user data. The App helps you upload videos to your YouTube channel(s) using Google Sign-In and the YouTube Data API.
If you have questions, contact us at: support@example.com (replace with your contact email).
- Personal Info: Google profile basics (name, email) returned by Google Sign-In. Used to show your signed-in status and for account selection UX.
- Authentication Tokens: The App obtains OAuth tokens (access/refresh) to perform YouTube operations on your behalf. Tokens are stored on-device in app storage and used only to interact with the YouTube Data API.
- Preferred Channel ID and App Preferences: Stored locally to improve UX (e.g., channel picker preference, credits).
- Ads Data: The App uses Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and other data to serve and measure ads per Google’s policies.
The App does not operate a backend for uploading; uploads go directly from your device to Google/YouTube via HTTPS.
Data Sharing
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not share personal info with third parties other than Google services used to provide core functionality (Google Sign-In, YouTube Data API, AdMob). When you upload a video, your content is transmitted to YouTube as you instruct.
Data Retention
- Access tokens are short-lived; refresh tokens are retained on-device to keep you signed in until you sign out or revoke access.
- Preferences remain on-device until you clear app data or uninstall.
- We do not retain your data on our servers.
Security
- All communications with Google APIs use HTTPS (encryption in transit).
- On-device storage is app-private. Android backup is disabled for the App to reduce unintended transfer of app data.
- You can revoke app access to your Google account at any time within the App (which clears cached tokens) or from your Google Account settings.
Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
Your Choices
- Sign out within the App to stop using Google Sign-In.
- Revoke the App’s access to your Google account from within the App or via https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above when changes are made.
